It’s been a big week for giving back at AK Rental – three charities supported in just seven days! Our latest partnership saw us helping Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity with their brilliant Kami Bear Teddy Trail in Glasgow.
The event brought together over 800 walkers to raise vital funds for babies, children, and young people being cared for at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital. From families and friends to dedicated fundraisers, the Teddy Trail was full of energy, smiles, and community spirit.
To help make it happen, we donated a free Luton van to the charity, giving them a way to transport all their event equipment to and from the venue. Caroline, Head of Fundraising & Events at the charity, told us that this support not only made logistics easier, but it also meant more of the funds raised could go directly towards supporting children and their families – exactly where it’s needed most.
“Providing the Luton van free of charge not only helped us to transport our events equipment, but it also means that we can ensure even more funds are supporting the children at hospital and their families.” – Caroline, Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity
For us at AK Rental, it’s about more than just vans. Supporting local charities, youth groups, and community projects is something we’re passionate about – whether that’s providing vehicles, donations, or simply helping spread the word. In the past week alone, we’ve supported Renfrewshire Rainbow Buddies, Scotland’s Powerchair Football Team, and now the Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity.
We couldn’t be prouder to be part of such incredible community efforts, and we’ll keep doing our bit to support the causes that matter most to the people of Paisley, Renfrewshire, and beyond.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Teddy Trail, and a huge thank you to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity for the life-changing work you do every single day. 💙
