At AK Rental, we’re always proud to back local people doing amazing things – and last weekend was no exception. We were delighted to donate a free minibus to a group of friends and family, led by local legend and longtime AK pal Charlie Murray, who took part in the Kiltwalk to raise funds for Renfrewshire Rainbow Buddies.
Rainbow Buddies is a fantastic volunteer-run youth club supporting children from P1 to P7 here in Renfrewshire. They provide breakfast clubs, food parcels, summer outings, family support, and even learning opportunities for parents. The club plays a huge role in helping local families – and all of it is delivered with dedication, energy, and heart.
By donating the minibus, we were able to make sure Charlie and the team could travel together to and from the event without worry. For us, it’s a small way of showing our appreciation for the incredible work Rainbow Buddies do all year round.

The Kiltwalk is always an inspiring event, with walkers across Scotland raising millions for good causes. We couldn’t be prouder of Charlie, his family, his friends, and everyone involved in raising funds for Rainbow Buddies this year.
